Elementary/Middle School

For over 30 years, the Minerva First Christian Church offered a Christian-based pre-kindergarten program to families throughout the Minerva community. Through this ministry, thousands of area children received their initial formal education within the First Christian Church pre-kindergarten program.

Then, in the late 1990's, parent interest led the school's administrator, Mrs. Patricia Bush, into a study of the necessary requirements for the pre-kindergarten program to extend its ministry to include an elementary program. Therefore, in the fall of 1998, with its name changed from First Christian Pre-Kindergarten to Minerva Area Christian School, the school's educational programs began to expand as M.A.C.S. received its state charter from the Ohio Department of Education and began offering elementary school classes.

Finally, seeing the middle school years as very formative in the lives of young teens, the Minerva Area Christian School Board decided to increase the school's ministry opportunities to include middle school for grades seven and eight.

As a chartered nonpublic school, Minerva Area Christian School's elementary and middle school classes offer children the necessary academic instruction that will be needed as students continue their education in high school and beyond. Furthermore, as a Christian school, every student receives daily biblical instruction, serving as a foundation for life on this earth and for eternity. Hence, the twofold mission of Minerva Area Christian School: Educating children for this life and for eternity.
